5 Reasons to Avoid iPhone 3G
With great apologies to the Macalope for borrowing his style, here’s my take.
Reason 1:
iPhone completely blocks free software. Developers must pay a tax to Apple, who becomes the sole authority over what can and can’t be on everyone’s phones.
I assume that the “tax” refers to the $99/year fee that developers must pay for their digital certificate and not the 30%...
Why I'm not buying a 16GB iPhone 3G
Friday I will be upgrading my iPhone to the fancy new 3G version. And I’m not ponying up the extra $100 for the 16GB. Here’s why.
I rarely use the iPod functions of my phone so I don’t need the extra storage space. My current iPhone has 8GB and at present I have over 5GB free. Since my entire music library is about 30GB, I wouldn’t be able to fit it all in there anyway...
